This is awesome.
Heart, with drummer Jason Bonham (son of John Bonham, the original Led Zeppelin drummer), performs Stairway to Heaven at the Kennedy Center in DC. It will send a shiver down your spine. I swear.

You are right. That was awesome. The emotions on their faces is priceless. Don’t hate me for this…but that is the first time I ever enjoyed that song.

Hate you? pfft, I agree. It was always a decent song, sure, but this version is just plain awesome — I’ve tried to come up with a better description, but failed. It sent a chill through me watching those old dudes struggle to maintain their composure. And Ann Wilson was 62 when she sang that. Amazing, eh?

I love Jimmy Page, though. He’s too, too cute. Even now.

Thank you for your thoughts, although it was a long time ago now, and it was the final straw for his father (he died of a broken heart a couple of years later) Christopher is still there in our minds. But it’s always a shame when life is taken away early in life. MARTYN insisted that Led Zeps Stairway was played at the funeral and it was a very moving experience. So thank you again.
