According to Isaac Newton (I call him Mr. Gravity), there are three laws of motion. Two of them -- inertia and acceleration -- are irrelevant here. The third one, however, is driving me to distraction. It’s the one that says for every action there’s an equal and opposite reaction. Forces, you see, come in pairs. … Continue reading : the third law of motion :

The dog, bless her heart, isn’t terribly bright. She’s trusting, though, and that’s to her everlasting detriment. I sometimes use her naiveté for entertainment purposes: she’ll fall for anything. My newest and most ambitious scam to date is pretending to be Julia Child. Now, anyone who knows me — even a little — knows I … Continue reading : a bad, bad, terrible impression :

Dogs are what we should aspire to be, you know? Loyal and forgiving and non-judgmental. Even on our best days, try as we … Continue reading : woof :

WELCOME!

I bought a new Hoover today,
Plugged it in in the usual way,
Switched it on — what a din;
It sucked everything in,
Now I’m homeless with no place to stay.

World Penguin Day

A celebration of the coolest dudes in nature.April 25, 2022
Did you know penguins have knees? They do. And although they can't fly, they can swim really fast. 11 - 15 mph fast . Most impressively, penguins use sign language to communicate with each other. Probably to complain about humans. Because, according to them, we walk funny.

We’re all hurtling through space at 1,040 mph with the earth’s rotation. I’m the one in the backseat with my head out the window. May I borrow a comb?
