: okay, this isn’t funny :

Let me make this clear: this is snow falling. It’s not pretty or entertaining or relaxing or a wonderland. This, my friends, is Hell Frozen Over. And I’m begging: get me out of here.

  1. Yeah, whoever thought to call that a winter wonderland, was probably vacationing in the Florida Keys. I hate winter. It’s expected to be around 65 here today in the Land of Enchantment. We’ve been busting high temperatures for weeks. Think south. Have to move south.

    1. Send a bus ticket (or gas money) and I am there :o)

Although, mentally I’ve been in Florida since November.

  2. I keep seeing pictures like this on blogs and social media and my intial reaction is longing to be somewhere snowy where I can be cozy at home, but then immediately ask my husband to remind me why we don’t live somewhere like that (He’s from New Jersey) and he begins listing things like shoveling snow, getting the snow off your car windows, having to take a vacation day because you can’t get to work etc and then I’m ok.

    1. The worst things about winter are:
      1. Getting out of the shower, and
      2. Getting out of bed.

I’m not sure in what order. But once done, the day improves ever so slightly.

I envy you, wherever you are.

    1. Really? You think so? If there was a beach or sunshine, I’d think I’d like it better. But I’m awfully glad you enjoyed it :o)

        1. Yes, wow, I’m impressed. Fox terriers are my favorite breed. I love their personalities. You must have had one?

          1. I have had 2. The last one, Sunny, passed away last January. He was the love of my life. You can read about him here: https://mrbricksworld.wordpress.com/the-dog/

    Or bed.

  5. I can tell you I am sick to death of driving in it.

    1. Get this: my car door was frozen shut. After we got it pried open, it wouldn’t close. I had to drive holding the door shut. And leave it hanging open until the service place opened in the morning. Winter is so annoying.

    1. I know. But, as you know, I like to fight things I can’t possibly ever win against. Like the elements of nature. Gah! I wish I had your ability to endure.

  7. Here in Chicago, it’s almost like God / Mother Nature / (insert higher power with control over the weather here) decided to give us 1 winter’s worth of snow all in one day.

    1. Don’t forget Sunday. Although that was ice first, then snow, then ice again. My car was entombed in a glacier. It was the Ice Age all over again. Now this! Oy.
